Oscillation is an option available on all machines with automatic edge guidance such as the PM-IV, IM and IMR machines.
It uses the moving carriage on the machine to oscillate the fabric roll so that the selvedge is not building up in one spot on the edge of the roll but slightly distributed left to right to keep the roll edge flat.
The rate of oscillation is variable to fine tune its operation.
